Engagement Ring
Original engagement ring accepted via telegraph to Christopher’s grandmother Voneta Stricklin in 1937. Was reset to include diamond chips from original wedding band in the 1950’s. Later passed down to Christopher’s father Rema Pasco Counts, Jr. and was given to Christopher’s Mother, Harriett Lee Baumgardner for her engagement. Both Voneta and Lee were 26 when they were married. As the only son in the Counts family, Christopher inherited the ring and proposed to Maria in December of 2012 and turned 26 in April.
